To promote the employment opportunities of visually impaired masseurs, strengthen the exchange and cooperation in this field and to enhance the development of the massage profession for the blind in the Region, the World Blind Union Asia Pacific Regional Massage Commission organize the regional massage seminar every 2 years. So far, 15 seminars have been successfully conducted in different countries in the region. The 16th World Blind Union Asia Pacific (WBUAP) Regional Massage Seminar will be hosted by Vietnam Blind Association (VBA) from 7-9 September, 2023. It will take place at International Convention Center located in Hanoi - the capital of a thousand years of civilization of Vietnam. It is about 45 minutes from Noi Bai Airport and next to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum as well as Ba Dinh Square.
The theme of the Seminar is “Promoting Sustainable Collaboration on Research, Training and Service Quality on Massage”. Apart from reports and scientific presentations, this event will provide an opportunity for participants to share massage skills through hands-on demonstrations.
The blind massage practitioners, teachers, researchers, administrators and the related organization representatives are warmly welcomed to the seminar. With the effort and dedication of the participants, hopefully the seminar will be successful, contributing to the advancement of the massage industry as well as the social and cultural exchange among the blind in the region.
